A time to rest, reflect and be refreshed
Ministry is a wonderful privilege, but it can also be demanding. This retreat has been created to give women serving in paid ministry the opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday life and enjoy a few days of spiritual refreshment in the peaceful surroundings of Bryn-y-groes.
Hosted by Elaine Macdonald and Deb Davies, the retreat is designed to be restful, restorative and reflective. Together we’ll spend time in God’s Word, pray with and for one another, and enjoy the encouragement that comes from sharing with others who understand both the joys and the challenges of ministry.
Whether you’re serving in a local church or a Christian mission organisation, we hope these few days will strengthen your walk with the Lord and leave you refreshed for the work he has called you to.
Who is it for?
This retreat is for women serving in paid ministry roles within churches and Christian mission organisations.
What to expect
During the retreat there will be opportunities for:
- Bible teaching and personal devotion.
- Prayer together and mutual encouragement.
- Meaningful conversations with others in ministry.
- Quiet time for rest and reflection.
- Good food, fellowship and the beautiful surroundings of Bryn-y-groes.
Our programme has intentionally been kept unhurried, allowing space to pause, reflect and enjoy fellowship without the usual demands of ministry.
Prices
Full Conference (Onsite) – £140
Includes:
- Two nights’ accommodation.
- All meals and refreshments.
Full Conference (Offsite) – £85
Includes:
- All meals and refreshments (excluding breakfast).
You will need to arrange your own accommodation.
Day Visitor – £45
Includes:
- All meals and refreshments (excluding breakfast).
Single Room Supplement – £15
Financial Assistance
We don’t want the cost of the retreat to prevent anyone from attending.
If paying the full conference fee would be difficult, you can apply for 50% financial assistance through the J Elwyn Davies Fund when completing your booking form. There is no need to contact us before applying.
