The Hay Festival of Literature & Arts is an annual literature festival held in Hay-on-Wye, Powys, Wales, for ten days from May to June.
It has become a prominent festival in British culture, and sessions at the festival have been recorded for television and radio programmes. Over 100,000 people visit the festival over the 10 days.

Report from 2019
Overall we are encouraged and feel the 4 days have been worthwhile and a further improvement on previous years developments. Sunday services on the site (see the photo) were well populated with some visitors. A local Christian playing the harp in the early/late evening on our site has been another development which has drawn people to the site where friendly and yet deep conversations have happened.
Please pray for all we talked to – so many people. Many folk who took literature, contributed their 6-word life stories or engaged with our question of the day may seek the Lord. Amid the miriad of ideas being shared at the two festivals in Hay we think we are one of the very few Christian voices. May God surprise us with his blessings.
It has been a joy to work together with Bethesda evangelical church, Cornerstone Abergavenny, Show Jesus and us the EMW. We are already thinking and praying about making improvements for next year.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING-WE HAVE KNOWN GOD’S HELP.
