'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation' Mark 16:15

Working in the rural and urban communities in order to:

  • Proclaim the gospel to the people of Wales – on their own patch
  • Present Christ to unreached communities
  • Encourage and support local churches in their evangelism

This means hiring pitches and setting out Christian books and literature to sell from the trailer, distributing tracts and personal witness. Usually a small team is involved.

Venues include…

  • Agricultural shows
  • Equine events
  • Fairs
  • November fairs
  • Sheep-dog trials

Introducing the worker … Roger Thomas

Originally from Rhydargaeau, Carmarthenshire, I was brought up to attend the Congregational chapel in Peniel. As a student in Swansea, I came to truly believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was sent by God the Father to deal with the sin of the world by dying on the cross, and I came to see that I needed to respond personally to the gospel by believing in Jesus Christ and confessing him as Lord. Christ alone can secure for us the forgiveness of sins and an eternal relationship with God.

I was called to preach the gospel in 1998 and ministered at Nebo Baptist Chapel, Cwmdare, before being led in a different direction in 2002. I worked with Eglwys Efengylaidd Aberystwyth for 18 months, concentrating on reaching Welsh speakers in Ceredigion. I began a similar work for the Salvation Army in July 2004.

I appreciate the support I have received, and would like to hear from any one if there is any way in which I could help in the important work of sharing the wondereful gospel.

There are currently two trailers based at…

  • Aberystwyth
  • Bangor
