Camp Training Day 2023

• Saturday 20^th May 2023, 9:15am start.
• Location: Malpas Road Evangelical Church, Newport, NP20 5PJ
• Parking: There is plenty of parking available on the residential streets around the church
• Food: Breakfast and Lunch provided

The camp Training Day is not only a great opportunity to develop your gifts and gain experience in working with children and young people in a Christian context, but is also vital in supporting you to be an EMW Officer, Chaplain, Leader or part of the catering team!

Programme

• 9:15: Breakfast and Paperwork
• 9:45: Worship and Bible teaching (Andy Pitt)
• 10:30: Prayer
• 10:40: Split sessions
  • – Officers – Applying the Bible to our campers (John Funnell)
  • – Leaders – Sharing the load (Steffan Job)
  • – Catering team – Sharing best practice (Catrin Lewis)
• 11:30: Refreshments
• 11:50: Latest news about Camps 23 (Matt Francis)
• 12:00: Lessons from camps at Bryn-y-Groes (Gwydion and Catrin Lewis)
• 13:00: Lunch provided by Malpas road
• 14:00: Team Opportunity

Registration

Please inform your camp leader as soon as possible if you are able (or unable) to attend the Training Day, and if you have any dietary requirements. Leaders need to pass this information on to the EMW office by 10th May so we can make sure Malpas Road have plenty of time to prepare for us.
