English Summer Camps

A statement about 2021 Summer Camps

“Are there going to be camps this year?” is a question we’ve been asked many times over the last few months – we know that they are the highlight of the year for many.

After a lot of prayer and consideration it was felt that, sadly, we won’t be in a position to run a programme of summer camps this year due to the pandemic. I’m sure that like us, you are extremely disappointed, but understand the current uncertainty with regards to residential activities and camps. We know that so many young people, along with their families, will be gutted to hear this news and we must keep looking to the Lord and trust in His plans and purposes.

However, we do sense that 2021 could turn out to be an important year in so many ways and we are confident that the Lord will enable us to reach out to young people in different and exciting ways. God willing, it is hoped that the EMW will run a series of day camps around different parts of Wales, and we might be able to organise some last minutes shorter residential camps if the government guidlines allow us.

So our plan is that you don’t need to come eto us – we’re going to come to you!

We’ll be in touch as soon as possible with more information – so keep an eye out on our social media and website!

Information about EMW camps for parents and guardians

Hundreds of children attend an EMW camp every year and as a Christian Organisation and UK Registered Charity we’re committed to be transparent and open about the camps. It’s vitally important to us that parents understand the nature, content and the steps we take to ensure safety at our camps. We have put together this section to answer some of the common questions we receive. [more information]
