Staffing changes at EMW

We wanted to communicate with our friends and supporters some news concerning our staffing team at the EMW offices.

As we all know, this has been an extraordinary period for all who live in Wales. Here at the EMW we have also faced many real and tangible changes and challenges, one of which is that we have not been able to hold our usual large-scale in-person events. This has naturally impacted on the amount of administrative work that we have needed to do, with many staff having been on furlough since March. It remains very unclear when we will be able to resume our in-person events and what these future events will look like. Facing this situation and due to the reduction in administrative work in the foreseeable future, three of our staff have taken voluntary redundancy last month. Shâron Barnes left us on 16 October and Chris John and Rebekah Cole on 31 October. We would like to publicly thank Sharon, Chris and Beck for all their work for the Lord during their time in the Movement. Their love for the Lord has been clear, and we will certainly miss them, please pray for the Lord’s good hand to be on them in their future lives and service.

We are thankful that we have been able to serve the Church in many new and different ways, and we believe that there will be an ongoing need to do so. We would therefore ask you to pray for us as we seek the Lord’s wisdom to respond faithfully in these difficult circumstances.

Through all this we’re comforted because we know the Lord is in control and we know He is working all things out for good. We pray that these times would bring even more people to saving faith in the our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
