Covid has meant some dramatic changes to church life, and especially so for children and youth ministry. It has been such a comfort to know that the Lord is in control and nothing takes Him by surprise. It’s been tough, we’ve had to think outside of the box, we’ve been discouraged at times, but then at other times we’ve been surprised by God’s blessing – we’ve even seen conversions. God truly works everything for His glory!
As we start our second year in these strange times, we thought that it would be good to organise a meeting for those involved in children and youth work to meet together for fellowship and prayer. We’re certainly feeling tired and in need of encouragement (and we’ve also exhausted all possible ideas about games and activities on Zoom). What better way to help each other than to meet with others from all over the country to share ideas, receive some ministry and to call on God together.
Therefore, we are planning an evening on Thursday, 4th March at 8pm for about an hour or so, where we can come together for fellowship, encouragement and sharing ideas.
The meeting is open to anybody who is involved with children and youth work – Sunday school teachers, kids club leaders and helpers, youth workers etc. Just fill in the registration form below and you will receive a link to the meeting over email on the 4th March.
Please feel free to pass this invitation to others in your church who are involved in your children and youth work. We live in challenging times, and young people are certainly finding things very difficult – but God has not left us on our own, and therefore let’s make the most of the opportunity to encourage each other in the task of reaching a new generation for Christ!
