Camps 1 and 2 prayer update

Camp 1

Camp 1 started well, we have 40 children with us and all have settled and are enjoying the week. The weather was wet to start with but now we are back to beautiful sunshine again.

Ed Collier is taking us through the book of Jonah in the morning meetings and as always, his gospel application is clear and unmistakable.

We have a mixture of children from Christian and non Christian backgrounds so the challenge is to teach them all the good news about Jesus without using any jargon.

Most of our team have been with us before but we do have a couple of first time officers who have made an excellent addition to the group.

Please pray:

1) That God would be at work in the hearts of our campers. We have been reminded from Jonah that “Salvation comes from the Lord”. We pray that His saving power would be at work here this week.

2) That God would continue to give the officers strength, patience, wisdom and compassion. We are all praying that we would do nothing to detract from the message they are hearing.

3) Practically, pray for continued safety for all the children. We are off to West Midlands Safari Park today (Thursday), so will be on rides!

Many thanks for your prayers, they are hugely appreciated by us all.

Camp 2

Camp 2 is going well with a good level of attentiveness and engagement amongst the campers during meeting and Bible studies.

Please pray that there would be a thirst for God and that we would see campers finding Him for the first time this week.

Please pray for a deepening of desire to live holy lives for Christ amongst those who know Jesus as Saviour already.

Please pray that God would meet with us by his Spirit and that individual lives on camp may be transformed and that as a result families, communities, and even countries may be impacted for the advance of God’s kingdom.

To His Glory and for our joy,

Mark and Becs
