“The role of the shepherd/teacher is vitally important for the welfare of God’s people. The shepherding role is especially significant in times of crisis and change such as we are experiencing. The presence of the shepherd is reassuring to the flock as he leads, protects, and watches over them. We will consider some of the particular challenges and opportunities for shepherd/teachers today in both leading the flock committed to their care and in bringing other sheep, presently outside the sheepfold, to the Chief Shepherd.”
