Theme: Abuse of Power in the Local Church

You are probably aware of some well publicised cases where power has been abused by church leaders. This has raised awareness of the trauma experienced by those caught up in such situations.  It is important that we take time to support one another in considering and discussing this issue together that can be so damaging to the glory of God in a church.

Phil will be giving two presentations which will look firstly at setting the scene by considering the current landscape surrounding this issue along with some insight into how trauma may uniquely impact Christians, then secondly he will look at some possible ways forward for us as pastors to consider.
