Bryn y Groes Christian Conference Centre is situated on the edge of the market town of Bala in the beauty of Snowdon National Park and overlooking Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales.
It is a large country house standing in its own grounds offering comfortable and excellent facilities for up to 70 people. We accommodate church groups, university and college Christian Unions, school groups, house parties, youth groups, retreats and senior citizen groups. We can be a place of study or respite for those in Christian ministry. We also host day conferences, training days or cater for day trips in the area.
Bryn-y-groes is an ideal base for walking, sightseeing, cycling, climbing and water sports as it’s surrounded by impressive mountain ranges and outstanding natural beauty.. There are castles, slate quarries, woollen mills, craft centres and much more within easy reach. Even the glorious west Wales coast is less than an hour away.
It is the perfect location if you wish to explore the ‘Mary Jones Trail’ which follows the footsteps of a 15 year old Welsh girl who, in 1800, walked 26 miles to buy a Bible from Thomas Charles in Bala.
Bryn-y-groes can be a place of peace and personal renewal with time to reflect and recharge your batteries, or a base for a fun-filled, action-packed adventure holiday.
Whether you choose to come for a day, weekend, midweek break or full week we look forward to hosting you and meeting your needs. Whatever you choose we’re sure your stay will be a happy and memorable one.
