Saturday, 20 July – Camp One at Bryn y Groes

• For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Please pray for the team as Camp One starts at Bryn-y-groes. Pray for David Roberts and Hannah Mitchell as they lead the camp and for Matt Francis, the Chaplain, who will preach on the book of Esther. We expect over fifty campers (ages 16-18).

Sunday, 21 July – Lumina

• Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

On Friday, the Lumina project was launched to provide young people with Gospel-centred, Bible-based resources (articles, reading plans, videos, and podcasts). Pray that God would use the resources to save young people and strengthen young Christians. Pray that the Bible Studies on Colossians would be helpful and encourage young people to read their Bibles.

Monday, 22 July – The Royal Welsh Show

• A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17

Our four-day mission at the Royal Welsh Show starts today. Andy Pitt is leading the team that will seek to share the gospel with the thousands of visitors to the agricultural show. Pray that people will engage with the theme ‘How do you live life to the full?’ and that people will be saved.

Tuesday, 23 July – Bryn-y-Groes Conference Centre

• Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! – Psalm 34:8

Our team at Bryn-y-groes has been preparing for the busy summer period for weeks, and today, they will be three days into their first camp. Pray for Steve, Deb, Bethan, Andy, Ruth, Annette, Amy, and the volunteers. Pray for strength, stamina, patience, and joy in the service of the Lord.

Wednesday, 24 July – Camp One at Bryn y Groes

• May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Today is the halfway point of the camp. Please pray for the campers, many of whom are young Christians. Pray they will be encouraged and strengthened in their faith to be gospel witnesses back home and at their schools and universities.

Thursday, 25 July – The Royal Welsh Show

• I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Today is the final day of the mission. Please check our website for the latest updates, and pray for fruit. The team will be tired and need to take all the equipment down at the end of the day. Pray for strength and joy in the Lord.

Friday, 26 July – Publication of the Cylchgrawn

• So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Galatians 3:26-27

The Welsh Magazine will be published today. This edition contains articles on spirituality and many evangelistic articles for the Eisteddfod (more information on the mission next week). Pray that the Magazine would be a blessing, especially to older Christians who are often more isolated.

Saturday, 27 July – Camp Two and Six

• Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

As one camp finishes, two are starting! Please pray for the teams. Camp two at Bryn-y-groes will be led by Mark Gilmore and Rebecca Graham, with Dafydd Williams preaching on Romans 5. Camp six takes place in Woodcroft with Andrew Norbury and Lianne Jones leading and Dafydd Taylor preaching on ‘The Good News About Jesus in His Creation’.
