I read this book, said ‘Wow!’, and then thanked the Lord for moving the author to write it. I would like to tell you why.
Eryl Davies is Christ’s gift to His church. He is a respected scholar, theologian and historian. Better still, he is a wise pastor and experienced counsellor. He is warm, approachable, and the trusted friend of young and old. All these qualities shine through the following pages.
His book, rooted in Scripture, focuses on the objective fact that every believer is united to the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr Davies explains what this means and how it translates into a living experience of communion and fellowship with our living Saviour. Whatever may be our individual path, temperament or temptations, we can go through life knowing and enjoying God!
Helpful headings, short paragraphs, bullet points, lots of brief stories, readers’ responses and practical suggestions make this an easy book to read. Yes, you will be challenged, but you will never be made to feel small. Encouragement is the dominant tone. When you come to the end I believe that you too will say ‘Wow!’ and will thank the Lord for everything you have read.
Stuart Olyott, Pastor, author and missionary

Book 3 is geared particularly for those who are already Christians and trusting the Lord Jesus Christ. Second, the book’s major theme is that of knowing God better, whatever the circumstances. This theme is set in the context of union with Christ. Third, several chapters are in dialogue form where three friends discuss John 14 on a regular basis. Mike is their leader and they enjoy this interactive way of studying and applying the Bible. You may like to have this type of Bible study with your friends. Fourth, for the three books, a number of young people and adults read the chapters before they were published. Their responses are included at the end of each chapter. There are fewer responses in Book 3 compared with Books 1 and 2, largely because Book 3 is more interactive. Some of those who responded made useful suggestions which have been incorporated into the text. Finally, whatever your age or circumstances, our prayer is that you will find spiritual help in these chapters and come to know the triune God in a more personal and intimate way. That is what we long for and in that way our glorious God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – will be honoured and praised.
