The God of the Covenant (Iain D. Campbell)
Tuesday 3rd February: Bryn-y-groes, Bala
The covenants have been described as the heart of the Bible, the ‘architectonic’ structure of Scripture, and the way in which the kingdom of God is administered. It is vital that we grasp the exegetical foundations of covenant theology, the different covenants in redemptive-history, and their implications for our believing, preaching and pastoral ministry. It was Spurgeon who said that the covenant is at the root of all true theology and that he who well understands the distinction between law and grace is a “master of divinity”.
Our speaker for the day is the Rev Dr Iain D. Campbell. He is the minister of Back Free Church on the Isle of Lewis, and the author of Heroes & Heretics, The Doctrine of Sin, and Opening Up Matthew.
