At the last New Pastor’s Conference, back in November, it was suggested that we try to meet up for a day of ministry and fellowship in February or March. A day when we can learn, encourage and pray together. So we have set something up, for those that can make it, for March 14th. We will be meeting from 11.00am to around 3.00pm in Aberystwyth. Aber is fairly central for travel in Wales and we are delighted that Alfred Place Church are letting us use their place (for directions follow this link).
In terms of a theme for our time together I want to pick up on something that several talked about last November which was how do you prepare a sermon. So we are going to open up by looking at, ‘Getting the message together’. This will be an opportunity to pool our experience and ignorance about moving from initial exegesis to a message for God’s people. It should be a good time and it will certainly be good to meet up together again.
There is no charge for the day though you will need to make your own arrangements for food – there are plenty of places in Aberystwyth where we can get something. If you are coming it would be really helpful if you could let Steffan know by email (steffanjob@emw.org.uk) or phone (01248 351417).
