Leaders Conference

The Church Officers’ Training Days 2012

A day for serving church officers, elders, deacons, pastors and trainee pastors

North Wales – The Interchange, Colwyn Bay,  21 January
South Wales – Brackla Tabernacle Church, Bridgend, 28 January

Being a leader of a church is a big responsibility. We are called to hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, to care for the church and to live a life above reproach. We are aware of our own weakness, but are also confident that God has given us everything we need for this great task. At the conference there will be faithful teaching through preaching sessions and seminars. You will also be given the opportunity to explore how a Biblical leader of a church should respond to some of the challenges we face today.

We warmly invite you to join us at the Church leaders training day. It will be a day of Biblical training, honest Christian advice and warm fellowship.

Who is it for?

The conference is for men who are in leadership within a church. This includes pastors, elders, deacons, trainee pastors, leadership team members and others who play an active role within the leadership of their church.

Why a conference?

Over many years the EMW has had a burden to support and nurture ministers and pastors through conferences, fraternals and our pastoral director. Over the past few years the Lord has placed it on our hearts to develop our work to support not only full time pastors and workers, but also specifically church leaders and officers. Both these ‘leadership training days’ are aimed at helping, supporting, encouraging and training church leaders in their lives as Christians. We also hope that by gathering people together, local support and fellowship may be increased for the mutual benefit of all the church in Wales.

 What will be happening?

The day will be split into two preaching sessions, two seminar slots, a resource exhibition and informal time of fellowship over lunch.

Programme:

  • 10.00 – Arrive and registration
  • 10.30 – Preaching session 1 – The glory and the grime of service
