Evidence for God

We live in a culture where people seem to need a reason even to consider the Christian faith. Andy Christofides in this short book gives us seven such reasons. Against the backdrop of a resurgent atheism he begins with the concrete realities of the world around us (its existence and fine tuning), he then moves through the universal experiences of the human heart (our craving for God and our conscience), and then finally, he brings us to the Bible (its coherence) and Christ Himself.

With a lightness of touch he uses a broad range of sources to identify these different strands of evidence for the existence of God. Running throughout the book is a stream of gospel application. It is an undercurrent in the early chapters, but by the end it breaks cover, ending with Andy’s personal testimony and an invitation to come to Christ. Buy it. Read it. Memorise a few of the quotations. Give it away.
