Opening Up…

If you are thinking of adding a little more ‘meat’ to your personal devotions, here are some books to give you a bit more to chew on! Most of these short commentaries in the Opening Up series start with a section of overview, background and summary. Each book ends every chapter with a section for further study and a list of questions to think about and discuss. The structure would enable the books to be used as a basis for a home group study as well as for personal use. Every two or three pages there is a quotation in a text box which draws attention to something thought-provoking in the text. The style of each author is conversational, rather than academic, which make the text easy to follow. All the teaching is warmly applied to the Christian life of the reader.
